Who Am I?

I never really knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. It wasn’t something that I gave much thought to, so whenever someone asked me, I didn’t have an answer — until I was 16, and I met my favorite artist and his team on tour.

 

Everything changed one night in San Diego when I met Logic’s tour photographer at a show at the House of Blues. Mike (“the Wagon”) shared the beauty of touring and documenting the experience of live music, which opened my eyes to a whole new world. It was my first exposure to capturing artistry in one of its purest forms—and I was hooked. That summer, my mom bought me a point-and-shoot Nikon, and that’s when my journey began.

 

I’m Joey "Snack" Hoak, a photographer originally from Oceanside, CA, now based on the East Coast. I bring five years of professional experience, with three years specializing in live events. Recently, I decided to follow my passion and pursue my dream of becoming a live music and tour photographer full-time.
